Radharc na Mara...
the “Ocean View”
Radharc na Mara named after its
spectacular location looking out over the Atlantic ocean. The views
of the ocean, Cliffs of Moher and down on the traditional Irish music
village of Doolin make this a visual feast. It is beautifully
situated on a quiet country road on the edge of the Burren between
Doolin village and the Ballinalacken Castle. Turn left outside the
front gate and it is just a short walk to Ballinalackan Castle gorge,
offering
breathtaking views of the Aran Islands and the Burren; with its
wildflowers, trickling streams, subterranean rivers and boulders
bulging out of the landscape. Just around the corner from the house
is the largest Stalactite in the Northern Hemisphere (now open to the
public and a must see). more |

The
Stonecutter’s Cottages
(Red Door) …… take you back in time.
Both of the Stonecutter’s Cottages sit atop Doonagore, a spectacular high point
which has views to the Atlantic Ocean, the Aran Islands, the Burren
and the musical village of Doolin. They are situated on a quiet country
road with nothing but gorse and grass to front and rear. No matter
what direction you take when you step outside the cottages you will
enjoy breathtaking ocean views stretching as far as Galway Bay and Connemara. Yet the buzz of the coastal villages of Doolin, Lahinch
and Liscannor are only a few minutes away. Every day you will
discover something new in the ever changing colours and hues of this
most spectacular part of the world. You will truly forget what you
left behind.

Your Hosts in Ireland
Although our properties are self-catering, you have the advantage of
Lorraine and Olive close by. They will have arranged your booking;
Lorraine looks after the two Stonecutter's Cottages and Radharc na Mara and
runs Nellie Dee’s B&B. Olive looks after Tigh Amu and Wishing Well
and runs Toomullin B&B. They and their husbands have yet to be
out-foxed
by a guests’ question!
They will make sure you have settled in and answer any questions
about the
homes and the surrounding areas (attractions and places to eat etc).
If anything goes wrong (not often, but it can
happen) they will get things sorted out. When booking your holiday in
Ireland, don’t underestimate the importance of someone “on the
ground” to help you

Our Bed & Breakfast Guest Houses
In addition to our self catering business, we also run two bed and
breakfast guest houses (B&Bs) in Doolin. These are on the
main road in the village and have set the standard in Doolin for
hospitality, facilities and location. We are often able to offer
overnight accommodation for guests arriving on the Friday (prior to a
Saturday check-in) or leaving on the Sunday. But
please book early, we are
busy all year round.
